We’re growing our team and looking for a sales professional who loves helping brands achieve their goals and meeting a wide range of industry leaders along the way!

 

The Role

We’re hiring a Sales Representative to drive revenue growth by selling our Podcast Power Audit and Audio Advertising Campaign services. You’ll be responsible for prospecting, hosting sales consultations, closing deals, and nurturing client relationships to maximize upsell and referral opportunities.

What You’ll Sell

Podcast Power Audit – $2,500 (one-time)
A comprehensive assessment that identifies gaps and opportunities across discoverability, content strategy, audience growth, and monetization. This is the “entry point” where we determine the best path forward and a suite of services that will best suit the client in the long term. You will receive our team’s findings and recommendations to use in your follow-up conversations with the client for upsells, cross-sells, etc.

 

Audio Advertising Campaigns – starting at $3,000/month (4-month minimum commitment)
Strategic ad placements that put clients’ podcasts in front of mirrored audiences to accelerate growth.  While this is just one of our growth services, you will first train on what this service looks like, as it is the most popular for clients to upsell into after the audit.

You’ll be responsible for closing prospects into one or both offers (or more, depending on initial audit recommendations), managing post-audit upsells, and generating referrals from satisfied clients.

 

Revenue Targets

Monthly Revenue Goal: $10,000 – $20,000 in closed new business per month

What this looks like:

$10K/month (minimum target):

  • 4 Audits, OR
  • 2 Audits + 2 Audio Campaigns, OR
  • 1 Audit + 3 Audio Campaigns

$20K/month (stretch target):

  • 8 Audits, OR
  • 4 Audits + 3 Audio Campaigns, OR
  • 2 Audits + 5 Audio Campaigns

 

Responsibilities

Lead Generation & Prospecting

  • Proactively identify and qualify leads through multiple channels, including:
    • LinkedIn search, outreach and engagement
    • Podcast directories (Apple Podcasts, Spotify, etc.)
    • Podcast guest sourcing platforms

 

  • Prospecting tools (Apollo.io, Sales Navigator, etc.)
  • Email outreach
  • Incoming leads from company website, email marketing, PR
  • Build and manage a consistent pipeline of qualified prospects
  • Develop targeted outreach messaging and cadences

Sales & Closing

  • Conduct consultation calls to understand prospect’s needs and challenges
  • Present tailored solutions using our Podcast Power Audit and Audio Advertising services
  • Handle objections and negotiate terms to close deals
  • Manage inbound leads from website inquiries and email marketing campaigns
  • Track all sales activity and pipeline in HubSpot CRM

Client Relationship Management

  • Manage post-audit upsell conversations to convert audit clients into audio campaign clients
  • Generate referrals from satisfied clients
  • Maintain relationships to encourage repeat business and long-term partnerships
  • Collaborate with delivery team to ensure smooth client onboarding and audit delivery
  • Conduct quarterly customer satisfaction calls with clients (opportunity to upsell, collect testimonials, support client retention, etc.)

Reporting & Metrics

  • Meet or exceed monthly revenue targets
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales activities in CRM
  • Provide regular updates on pipeline health and forecast 
  • Track and report on lead source performance and conversion rates

 

What Success Looks Like

First ~30 Days:

  • Complete onboarding and product training
  • Shadow sales calls and learn the pitches and objections
  • Begin prospecting and booking calls
  • Begin tracking activity against goals in CRM

First ~90 Days:

  • Conduct a minimum of 10-15 sales calls per month
  • Close a minimum of $10K+ in new business monthly
  • Develop a predictable outbound prospecting system

Ongoing:

  • Consistently hit or exceed $10K-$20K monthly revenue targets
  • Maintain a healthy pipeline (3x monthly quota)
  • Generate referrals and upsells from existing clients
  • Continuously refine prospecting and closing strategies

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of sales experience with a proven track record of meeting/exceeding quota
    • Comfortable engaging with, meeting with, and pitching CEOs, CMOs, and other company leaders
  • You’re energized by prospecting and building your own pipeline
  • Consultative sales approach – you ask great questions and position solutions, not just products
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
    • Able to commit to a minimum of 20-30 hours/week on the role
    • Able to attend 1-2 Business Development Team meetings per week
    • Able to attend 1 monthly company-wide meeting
  • Strong communication skills – both written and verbal
  • CRM proficiency – experience with HubSpot or similar platforms
  • Comfort with technology – able to quickly learn and leverage sales tools

Preferred Qualifications (Big Pluses!)

  • Radio advertising sales experience – you understand the power of audio advertising
  • Agency experience – you’re comfortable selling services, not just products
  • Podcast industry knowledge – you understand the podcasting landscape and ecosystem
  • Host of a podcast or experience being interviewed as a guest on a podcast
  • Experience with LinkedIn Sales Navigator and outbound prospecting tools

    • Outbound prospecting is a major part of this role, but reps are assigned inbound leads as well from all company sources

Compensation for this Independent Contractor role will be customized based on the candidate’s skill set, experience, and the scope of work agreed upon. Final compensation details will be outlined in the Independent Contractor Agreement based on base compensation, commission starting at 10% on all sales made and bonuses for meeting targets.

This role is structured as an Independent Contractor (1099) position, not as an employee of the Company.
